Department of Science and Technology- Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) Undergraduate Scholarship Examination was held nationwide last November 18, 2012.
The DOST Scholarship Exam was participated in by fourth year high school students from various schools in Metro Manila and provinces all over the Philippines.
The DOST Scholarship Exam Results 2013 will be published sometime March or April 2013 according to the DOST-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) website.
The scholarship will be of two types: The RA 7687 or the Science and Technology Scholarship Act, which provides scholarship grants to poor or underprivileged but deserving students, and Merit scholarship program which gives grants for deserving students whose family income is above the poverty threshold level established by the National Statistics Coordinating Board (NCSB).
The DOST-SEI scholarship qualifiers will be entitled to free tuition (not to exceed P 6,000.00/ semester) and other school fees, book allowance, PE or NSTP uniform allowance, free transportation for one economy-class round trip fare for those studying outside their home province, monthly living allowance, group health and accident insurance and post-graduation clothing allowance.
