The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of the May 2013 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination on Thursday. A total of 1,542 out of 3,601 examinees passed the exam given last May 5 and 6 in several testing centers in the country.
A student from the De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila, Rigel Dante Sebastian Napa, topped the CE board exam with a rating of 93.80%. Two more DLSU students were garnered the the highest scores – Justine Pe Benito Belandres with 93.45% rating and Marabelle Rañosa del Prado with 92.70%, who ranked 3rd and 8th, respectively. DLSU was also named as the top performing school with 98.46% passing rate or 64 out of 65 examinees made it successfully.
Graduates from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila dominated the top 10 CE passers with 7 examinees making it to the list of topnotchers.
These are:
Alvin Cordero Purugganan at 2nd place with 93.75%
Lamberto Bancoro Marcial, Jr at 4th place with 93.40%
Neil Daniel Claudio Mallari and Efraim Dimayuga Manalo, both at 5th place with 93.15%
Lorenz Cruz Lugatiman at 6th place with 93%
Yoshiaki Castro Mikami at 7th place with 92.75% and
Harf Jucoy Miranda at 9th place with 92.05%

Two graduates from the University of the Philippines, Diliman also made it to the top list, namely Alem Jay Alvarez Pablo (5th place, 93.15%) and Angel Estrella Jaurigue Jr (10th place, 92%); while a graduate of Cebu Technological University, Main Campus – Dave Kerwin Bas Bolarin – was also included in the list at 9th place with 92.05%.
The Mapua Institute of Technology had an overall performance of 46.15% passing percentage, while UP Diliman has 93.94%.
